Leaving Our Mark on the Dell Medical School at UT

The University of Texas Dell Medical School recently celebrated the halfway mark of construction with a beam signing event and VIP walkthrough. A group of Page employees attended the event and signed the steel beam, which was later installed on the Education & Administration Building designed by Page in association with SLAM Architects. The signatures will still be visible even after construction on the building is completed next summer.

The Dell Medical School is the first newly built medical school in almost 50 years at a Tier 1 research university. The mission is focused on transforming the way people get and stay healthy with the support and involvement of the community. Representatives from UT, including UT President Greg Fenves and Dell Medical School Dean Dr. Clay Johnston, along with Senator Kirk Watson attended the event. It was also open to the public, so it didn’t come as a surprise when more than 300 people gathered to leave their mark in history.
